Job description

OVERVIEW

JOB TITLE: Engineering Lab Assistant - Rapid Proto

LOCATION: St. Paul Campus

PAY: $16.50

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide excellent customer and technical service for our students, faculty and staff as they access the rapid prototyping resources offered by the School of Engineering.
  • Operate, clean and maintain industrial 3D printers and laser engraving machines. Prior 3D printing experience is helpful but not required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with Solidworks, GrabCad, Inkscape, Trello, MS Office Suite and other related software. Prior experience is helpful but not required.
  • Will be expected to work well as a team member, requiring minimal supervision once fully trained. 
  • Provide moderate design input as drawings and files are received.
