Job description

Part-time teaching positions are based on enrollment. Classes may be scheduled for daytimes, evenings, or weekends. Your application can remain "Under Review by Committee" for 18 months.  You may check your status at any time by logging into jobs.harpercollege.edu with your username and password. 

Educational Requirements:  

Associate's degree or equivalent professional experience is required. Priority will be given to those with current degrees or certifications in business, sales, solar, or a related field. A NABCEP certification is preferred. 

Experience Requirements:  

Experience teaching adults and 2+ years of experience in the field is required.  

Duties of Position: 

Technical and Solar Sales Instructor. The qualified candidate must possess subject matter expertise in solar energy systems, technical sales, industry regulations, and financial incentives, including tax credits, rebates, and other renewable energy programs. Responsibilities include following the approved course syllabus, meeting established course objectives, lab instruction, and effectively utilizing Blackboard, PowerPoint, and assessments. The instructor will maintain and update the course curriculum as needed i.e., syllabus, textbooks, PowerPoint presentations, quizzes, etc. The instructor will record student attendance, submit midterm and final grades as required per semester, and complete state mandated training. A part of the Career and Technical Programs Division, Continuing Professional Education (CPE) offers short-term professional training leading to certification, digital badges, and industry-specific knowledge and skills.
