Role Summary

Terra Fertility is seeking an experienced Part-Time Ultrasound Technician to join our clinical team at our downtown Boston location. This role primarily supports early morning monitoring shifts approximately three mornings per week, with flexibility based on patient volume and clinic needs.


This position is ideal for a skilled sonographer with strong OB/GYN experience who values precision, efficiency, and exceptional patient care in a fertility-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality transvaginal and pelvic ultrasound examinations, including:
    • Follicular monitoring
    • Baseline gynecologic scans
    • Early OB scans
    • Ectopic pregnancy evaluations
    • 3D gynecologic imaging (as applicable)
  • Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and safety while maintaining professionalism and empathy
  • Clearly explain ultrasound procedures and maintain ongoing communication with patients
  • Accurately document and upload imaging findings into the EMR system in a timely manner
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and the clinical team to support interpretation and workflow efficiency
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and adhere to infection control protocols
  • Assist with procedure room setup and turnover as needed
  • Provide occasional rotating weekend or holiday coverage if required
  • Primary work location is Downtown Boston; occasional shifts at our Dedham location may be requested

Schedule

  • Monday-Wednesday-Friday early morning availability required: 6:00 AM โ€“ 11:00 AM
  • Schedule may evolve based on clinical demand

Compensation

  • $60-$80 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
  • Stipend for transportation
  • Non-exempt, part-time position
  • Differential pay available for weekend and holiday shifts
  • Benefits eligibility will be determined in accordance with Terra Fertilityโ€™s part-time employment policies

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience required
  • Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN ultrasound experience required
  • Fertility ultrasound experience preferred
  • ARDMS (or equivalent certification) โ€“ required
  • BLS certification โ€“ required
  • Proficiency with EMR and medical imaging software
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Spanish and/or Portuguese speaking preferred but not required
  • Detail-oriented with excellent patient care and communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment
