The purpose of this position is to support and provide technology-focused premier customer service to library patrons as well as library staff. This position is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting library technology and equipment. This position directly reports to and works in partnership with the Library Systems Supervisor to maintain and update library technology.

Collaborates with other staff and volunteers to help maintain a high-functioning library. This position does not provide direction to other employees. We are seeking a part-time team member with weekday availability Monday Through Friday and the flexibility to work Saturdays.

The role offers a consistent schedule of approximately 20 hours per week. How You Add Value Provides premier customer service to internal and external customers by responding to requests in a timely and professional manner. Assist library patrons by answering questions and providing technical assistance, database retrieval and research and performing library essential functions.

Assist in organizing and maintaining assigned areas. Assist with audio visual, makerspace and recording studio programming. Assists in maintaining inventory, software updates, and technology development for future growth.

Stays abreast of and attends available technology training. Assists with overall library operations and facilities by assisting and collaborating with other staff to maintain a high functioning library. Assist in the setup and installation of library systems and programs.

Quickly and accurately process multiple types of information and perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Regular attendance required, including evenings, weekends and special events, as needed. What You Bring to the Role Work requires knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes.

Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of high school or equivalency. Some college level coursework preferred. Knowledge of hardware, software and peripheral equipment maintenance, repair, setup modification and troubleshooting methods, practices and procedures.
