Job description

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for executing the Mount Sinai Health System's social media strategy for Breast Cancer, working across key social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. The successful candidate will work closely with key members of the Social Media Department to learn about social media in healthcare, medicine, and research. This role will be instrumental in increasing the social media presence of the Dubin Breast Center and breast cancer at the Mount Sinai Health System.

  • In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest 
  • In-depth working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere, and Final Cut 
  • Experience with social listening, measurement and analytics

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,661.00 - $81,675.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

  • Create and manage content for breast cancer
  • Work with Mount Sinai Health System's Chief of Breast Surgery and Dubin Breast Center team to obtain and promote consumer health information, new research, innovation, and more on social media platforms
  • Work with the Social Media Department on graphic design and video content
  • Identify and follow health industry trends that can be tied into promotion of key Mount Sinai breast cancer initiatives
  • Manage and actively follow social media and other digital marketing methods
  • Integrate new ideas and methods into the company's approaches
  • Participate in the development of strategies designed to meet company goals
  • Stay abreast of and report on trends and best practices
  • Measure the impact of social media marketing efforts, developing reports and implementing strategies and tactics for improving results
