Exciting opportunities await licensed Speech-Language Pathologists passionate about making a difference in educational settings near Des Plaines, IL. We are seeking two dedicated SLPs to support local students during the 26/27 school year—one in a full-time capacity at an elementary school and one part-time SLP for 20 hours weekly, serving two elementary schools and one middle school. Both roles require experience working in school environments, a current IL SLP license, and a valid Professional Educator License (PEL).
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist license and Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Previous SLP experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to diverse student populations
- Commitment to fostering positive student outcomes
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, create and implement individualized intervention plans
- Provide direct therapy services to students with speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families on supporting students’ IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records and document services in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based decision-making
