Life doesn't always follow a fixed schedule. That's why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Armed Security Officer - Part Time Patrol in San Antonio, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat04:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking lots, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency responders when needed.
  • Complete required reports and maintain accurate documentation of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card. 
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
