Course: Manufacturing Specialist Foundation Course
This course is designed to provide the essential knowledge and skills necessary for a manufacturing specialist in the key areas of work-place safety, standard operating procedures (i.e., SOP), structured workflows, process monitoring, and process analysis of the wafer fabrication process. By covering topics such as OSHA regulations, gown room protocols, wafer manufacturing process flow, production quality (i.e., die and line yields), lean manufacturing, metrology, and statistical process control (SPC), students are equipped with a good overall understanding of the wafer fabrication process and how the microprocessor devices are created within the semiconductor industry. The topics covered provide the students with a comprehensive understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing process, which allows them to quickly transition and be very effective in their new role as a manufacturing specialist.
What You Will Do:
  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

Qualifications:
Preferred: PhD or Master's in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with 3-5 years of industry experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering with 5-7 years of industry experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
