Experienced Pharmacist | Part-Time or PRN

Peoples Rx is a locally-owned, holistic compounding pharmacy that has served the Austin community for over 40 years. As a pharmacist with Peoples Rx, you will join our dynamic team of technicians and our pharmacists who average well over a decade of celebrating the journey with Peoples Rx. The ideal candidate has the ability to work promptly with precision in a fast-paced, retail environment while serving our customers with compassion and care.

Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Provide expert pharmaceutical and nutraceutical advice to patients, addressing their questions and concerns.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapies and patient outcomes.
  • Conduct medication reviews and counseling sessions to promote proper usage and adherence.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to deliver exceptional care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative pharmacy services.

Qualifications:

  • Current pharmacist license in the state of Texas, in good standing.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Preceptor experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with nutritional supplements.
  • Prior compounding experience preferred.
  • Flexible schedule, alternating nights and weekends.
  • Able to lift up to 30lbs.
  • Able to stand for 8 hours
