As a Security Officer Part Time in Dayton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activity across the site. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and acting with integrity.

DayTimeTue06:30 AM - 03:30 PMWed06:30 AM - 03:30 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, client policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, operational disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor and/or driver activity according to site procedures, and help to document deliveries, arrivals, and other site movements as required.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activity, and notable observations, and help to support daily operations through professional presence and attention to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
