Job description

SECURITY OFFICER
Please note, the hours for this role are 10P-6A Saturday and Sunday. Great hours for students and retirees.
Pay ranges from 18.50 - 21.50 (based on experience)
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Follow all applicable sopโ€™s (standard operating procedures).
  • Monitoring of the alarm, access control and CCTV systems.
  • Employee entry and exit of the building
  • Tracking visitor tours with the CCTV system
  • Monitoring and recording all dock activity
  • Monitoring employee activity in high security areas
  • General observation of all activities which occur within the interior, exterior and perimeter of prop
  • Monitoring and response to all alarms
  • Monitoring all alarms and entries on the access control system
  • Produce all activity reports from the access control system
  • Report all relevant information to the Security Supervisor or Director of Security.
  • Inform shift manager of any issues that need immediate response.
  • Maintain security databases.
  • Maintain security daily log.
  • Maintain key control procedures.
  • Maintain the employee, visitor and vendor budging programs.
  • Maintain the cleaning crew sign-in log.
  • Control emergency procedures according to the security manual.
  • Contact necessary management personnel at their home via request from on-site management.
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance.
  • Must wear a clean uniform with clean shoes.
  • Provide occasional escorting duties.
  • Process visitors and vendors into and out of the facility.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school diploma
  • One to three years security experience a plus
  • Basic pc skills
  • Good oral and written skills (must be able to read and write English)
