Job Title: Active/Retired LEO Security Officer - Rover
Job Type: Part Time
Pay Range: $40.00 per hour

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a professional and observant LEO Security Officer to maintain a visible security presence. This position involves active foot patrols, theft deterrence, escorting individuals off site, and other tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a high-visibility presence throughout areas to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
  • Conduct routine foot patrols inside and around the site to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards.
  • Respond to incidents involving theft, trespassing, or disturbances in a professional and appropriate manner.
  • Communicate regularly with store employees, property management, and other on-site personnel to exchange updates and receive direction.
  • Provide customer service as needed, including offering directions or answering basic inquiries while maintaining security priorities.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid California Guard Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) is required.
  • Exposed Firearm Permit Required.
  • Active or Retired Police ID Required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain alert and professional in a retail environment.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours).
  • Ability to move quickly in response to incidents.
  • May be required to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
