  • We have a multi-tiered approach to make sure your site is receiving the highest service possible:

    • Managers for Operations and Scheduling

    • Customer Care Specialists for working directly with clients in creating tailored post instructions and training onsite officers

    • Field Supervisors for random site inspections, evaluations, assisting with any issues and training onsite officers

    • Site Supervisors for delivering targeted supervision of a location and working with clients on a daily basis to maintain the highest levels of service

  • Electronic daily logs, incident reports, and round system with GPS verification

  • Client has 24/7 access to all reports

About the Role:

The Security Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all personnel and visitors at our facility in Metairie, LA. This position involves monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and ensuring compliance with security protocols to prevent unauthorized access and incidents. The Security Officer will also be responsible for responding to emergencies, providing assistance during incidents, and documenting any occurrences in a detailed manner. Effective communication and collaboration with law enforcement and emergency services are essential to ensure a swift response to any security threats. Ultimately, the Security Officer's efforts contribute to a safe atmosphere that fosters productivity and peace of mind for everyone on site.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid security guard license or certification as required by state regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a security role or law enforcement.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR.
  • Familiarity with surveillance systems and access control technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
  • Control access to the facility by checking identification and issuing visitor passes.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, providing assistance as needed.
  • Document and report any suspicious activities or security breaches.
  • Maintain communication with team members and law enforcement through radio and other communication devices.

Skills:

The required skills for this position, such as intermediate computer proficiency, will be utilized for monitoring security systems and maintaining incident reports. Wireless technology skills are essential for effective communication with team members and emergency services during incidents. Strong oral communication skills will enable the Security Officer to interact clearly and professionally with visitors and staff, ensuring a welcoming environment. Physical skills, including the ability to climb stairs and perform repetitive motions, are necessary for conducting thorough patrols of the facility. Additionally, the ability to reach with hands and arms is important for operating security equipment and responding to various situations effectively.
