Technical Writer & Editor
The Opportunity:
Provide technical writing support, including creating and preparing programmatic and engineering documentation for the client from initial draft through finalization for delivery. Write and edit technical manuals, test procedures or plans, work instructions, and training packages with primary focus on compiling technical documentation. Interview subject matter experts, conduct research, and analyze technical information to distill into clear and concise language. Leverage knowledge of technical writing best practices and DoW guidance to produce comprehensive and accurate documentation. Contribute solutions to a variety of challenges of moderate scope and complexity. This position is located in Lexington Park, MD.
You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing and producing technical documentation
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience using AI technology and tools to create written content
  • Ability to create document templates
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with military standards and specifications governing the preparation of technical documentation
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
