Job description

Location: Sylvan Learning Center – Coral Gables / South Miami Area
Position Type: Part-Time
Schedule: Afternoons, evenings, and weekends
Compensation: 30/hour (starting; increase upon showing results)
Sylvan Learning Center is looking for a motivated and reliable SAT/ACT Math Tutor (bonus if you can also tutor for Reading & Writing) to work with high school students preparing for the SAT/ACT.
We are looking for someone who is confident in teaching SAT/ACT Math (plus Reading & Writing, preferred) and test-taking strategies. The ideal candidate enjoys working with teenagers, is patient, organized, and able to explain concepts clearly.
Responsibilities:

  • Tutor students in SAT Math (bonus: also Reading & Writing)
  • Help students improve test-taking strategies and confidence
  • Prepare students for SAT practice tests and official exams
  • Track student progress and provide feedback
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment
Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of SAT Math (bonus: Reading & Writing also)
  • Prior tutoring or teaching experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable, patient, and professional
  • Must be available during afternoons/evenings and Saturday mornings (flexible)
Preferred Qualifications:
