Job description

The Pittsburgh Paints Company is looking for a motivated Part-Time Field Sales Representative to grow our Glidden business within a Home Depot territory. Excellent opportunity for a college student or recent graduate to gain industry experience. In this role, you’ll work directly with contractors, DIY customers, and Home Depot teams to increase product sales and expand business in your territory. You will work onsite in the Detroit, MI territory and report to the Regional Manager.  

This position is for Part-Time evenings and weekends Up to 20 hours per week.

Friday: mid-day shift (4PM-8PM) Saturday & Sunday: 8-hour shifts between 9AM-5PM 

The starting hourly rate for this position is $20 - $24

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Generate new business by engaging Pro contractors and DIY customers in Home Depot stores  
  • Build strong relationships with Home Depot store leadership and associates  
  • Train store teams on Glidden and Olympic paint products  
  • Identify sales opportunities and grow accounts within your territory  
  • Use CRM tools to track activity and manage your territory  

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred  
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record  
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 
  • Sales, retail, or customer service experience preferred  
  • Bilingual - English/Spanish Preferred
