Job description

Overview:
We are a small engineering firm in Miramar looking for additional personnel to support both our custom industrial automation services as well as work on developing and expanding our automation product line. Ideal candidates will be detail oriented and aspire to truly professional results. We pride ourselves on our high quality automation, and are looking for candidates who will also strive to produce high quality work.

We are looking for a technician to aid in the assembly and wiring of automation systems. Candidates should comfortable with hand tools and breaking down larger tasks into logical steps. Ideal candidates will be knowledgeable on best practices for both mechanical assembly and wiring. Attention to detail is highly critical in this role.


Looking for either experienced technicians or those looking to learn and grow in the automation field such as mechanical and electrical engineering students or interns.


Part time positions are available.


Rate will be negotiable based on skills and experience.


Core Roles:

  • Wiring up E-Boxes and assemblies from a wire diagram
  • Mechanical assembly from Solidworks files
  • Making cable assemblies
  • Organizing wiring/assembly space


Secondary Roles:

  • 3D printing
  • Laser cutting
  • Occasional deliveries (millage will be compensated)


Requirements:

  • Experience with mechanical assembly
  • Experience with electrical wiring and soldering
  • Solid work ethic, willingness to adapt, eagerness to learn and grow professionally
  • Ability to assimilate and retain instructions and guidance


Highly Desirable:

  • Interest in robotics/industrial automation
  • Skills in part fabrication/modification (laser cutting, 3D printing, tapping, countersinking, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Solidworks
  • Familiarity with KiCAD


Experience:

  • Mechanical Assembly: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Electrical wiring: 1 year (Preferred)
