The position: We are seeking to fill a Maintenance Mechanic (Roofer) position. The Maintenance Mechanic will under the general supervision of a manager or supervisor, perform routine tasks related to the maintenance, repair and modification of buildings, equipment and common areas as requested. Operate and maintain approved power tools and light mechanical equipment.

Roofing will be the primary scope of work for this Maintenance Mechanic position. The Location: 810 Martin Luther King Jr Way S Seattle, WA 98144 The ideal candidate will have: High School diploma or equivalent education. Driver's License and fully insurable driving record Must have specialized training in at least one field of Maintenance.

What will you do. Inspect, evaluate and document the condition of all agency roofs on a regular basis for the purpose of creating long term roof repair and replacement plans. Perform preventive maintenance work to roofs for the purpose of protecting agency facilities by applying asphalt, gravel or other suitable materials.

Repair and/or replace a variety of roof coverings, interior plaster drywall and exterior stucco for the purpose of maintaining Agency buildings in optimum condition. Clean debris from roof sites, drains, construction sites, etc. for the purpose of maintaining sites and facilities in a safe condition.
