University Master's, 2026 Fall Technologist Intern

The Opportunity:

The Fall Advanced Technology Internship program is a part-time opportunity that is seeking the very best and brightest highly technical STEM students. The goal is to develop a breakthrough solution in the fields of AI, Autonomous Systems, Edge or Simulation, performing creative and innovative internal R&D work of the highest caliber that can be leveraged to ultimately solve the most pressing, complex, and multidimensional problems that our clients both current and prospective may face. You'll develop valuable technical skills as well as an understanding of professional business best practices. Throughout the program, interns will receive mentorship from senior leaders, solve problems using Booz Allen's products and unique engagement models, and leverage the power of collaboration in a team environment.

You Have:

  • Experience with programming languages, including Python, Java, C, C++, JavaScript, Assembly, Perl, R, or Bash
  • Experience in object-oriented programming
  • Experience in AI/ML, autonomous systems, edge systems, modeling and simulation, or graphics immersion such as AR/VR
  • Experience with conducting research and writing software
  • Ability to produce technical documentation and create design artifacts
  • Ability to display exceptional work ethic, drive, and motivation
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • Scheduled to obtain a Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field by Summer 2027

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience building Agentic AI systems leveraging Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent Protocols (A2A) in relevant frameworks such as AWS Bedrock AgentCore
  • Experience building Generative AI systems leveraging LLMs for Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Experience building robotics and autonomous systems including the associated software stacks such as reinforcement learning, ROS, computer vision, computer networking including TCP/IP, external sensor data streams, and world models
  • Experience working with computer hardware including GPUs, Arduinos and Raspberry Pis, external sensors, networking
  • Experience building immersive simulation applications involving digital twins and high-fidelity 3D graphics utilizing tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, Maya, or NVIDIA Omniverse
  • Possession of excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
