Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As a Personal Care Aide, you will:

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility
  • Engage patients in meaningful conversation, companionship, and social interaction
  • Respond promptly to patient needs and requests for care
  • Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition to a licensed nurse
  • Complete required documentation, including incident reports and change-of-condition reports
  • Prepare and serve meals; assist with eating (excluding tube feeding)
  • Support self-administration of medications as directed
  • Change bed linens and maintain a clean, safe immediate living environment (bedroom and bathroom)
