A Part Time RN Work From Home job is a nursing position where a registered nurse (RN) performs duties remotely, typically from their own home, while working less than full-time hours. These roles often involve tasks such as telephone triage, case management, patient education, medical chart reviews, or telehealth services. Nurses in these roles use technology to communicate with patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals. This arrangement offers flexibility and allows nurses to balance work with personal commitments, while still making a meaningful impact in patient care.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time RN working from home?

To thrive as a Part Time RN working from home, you need an active RN license, strong clinical judgment, and experience in telephone triage or case management. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHRs), and secure communication tools is essential. These competencies ensure safe remote patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficiency in a virtual healthcare environment.

NextGen Faith & Science Fellowship

BioLogos

Spring Lake, MI • On-site, Remote

Job description

The BioLogos NextGen Faith & Science Fellowship invites Fellows to help youth and young adult audiences explore how Christian faith and science work together as they navigate the questions, challenges, and experiences shaping their lives.

Fellows will join BioLogos as part-time employees and co-designers of youth and young adult programming and content. Working closely with BioLogos staff, they will contribute ideas and perspectives, create accessible resources, and help carry shared projects forward. We welcome applicants from a range of educational and professional paths; no particular major or degree is required. Fellows will be expected to work an average of 10 hours per week, with employment anticipated to last approximately 12-months in duration.

BioLogos believes this fellowship is important because conversations surrounding hot-button topics such as evolution and climate change can make Christian faith and science seem at odds. These narratives are sometimes framed as requiring a choice between trusting Scripture and accepting scientific evidence. BioLogos offers a different vision-one in which Christian faith and science work in harmony, enriching how we understand both the Bible and God's creation.

Due to local labor laws, BioLogos can only hire fellows who are residents of the four states where we are registered as an employer: Michigan, North Carolina, Minnesota, and Illinois.

Fellow responsibilities will include:

  • Shape programming and gather audience insight. Offer perspective on the questions, formats, and experiences that matter to youth and young adult audiences; participate in interviews, listening sessions, surveys, and other qualitative activities; and translate learnings into practical recommendations.
  • Explore, curate, and create content. Identify trustworthy resources and emerging conversations; co-develop original material for web, email, social media, podcasts, webinars, and other channels; and translate complex faith-and-science topics into clear, engaging language for youth and young adult audiences.
  • Support programs, live events, and travel. Help plan and host webinars, campus or community conversations, and other NextGen activities. Participate in employer-sponsored trips, support BioLogos event activities, engage attendees, and represent BioLogos with professionalism and warmth.
  • Collaborate and communicate. Participate in staff and fellowship meetings, coordinate with colleagues across BioLogos, give and receive feedback, and contribute reliably to shared deadlines.
  • Manage projects and document progress. Co-plan weekly work, track hours and assignments in project management software, maintain organized project files and activity records, communicate barriers early, and provide brief progress updates and reflections.
  • Participate in formation and professional development. Co-create a mentoring plan with the Fellowship Program Manager, as well as take part in readings, topic-based conversations, feedback sessions, and discussions with BioLogos staff and community experts.

Successful Fellows will need:

  • Mission and faith alignment. Be able to affirm and uphold BioLogos's Faith Commitments (click here for that statement), support its approach to common faith-and-science questions (click here for our Insights videos), and practice gracious dialogue.
  • Audience understanding and faith-and-science engagement. Have experience with or insight into youth and young adult audiences, have participated in faith-and-science conversations in a campus, church, workplace, online, or community setting, and have a general familiarity with BioLogos and our work.
  • Communication and digital fluency. Be able to write and speak clearly, make complex ideas accessible to youth and young adults, and respond well to feedback. Be comfortable using common social media platforms and collaborative communication tools like Google Workspace, Zoom, and Slack.
  • Organization, reliability, and collaboration. Be able to manage a small weekly workload, multi-task and meet commitments, communicate proactively and contribute ideas, listen well, and collaborate effectively with others. The ability to work in a remote setting and manage other responsibilities alongside NextGen Fellowship work is essential.
  • Location and travel. Reside and work primarily in Michigan, North Carolina, Minnesota, or Illinois. Be able to work remotely and have access to reliable internet connection. When travel is required, be able to participate in overnight trips, including possible weekend travel, with reasonable accommodation where applicable. A valid driver's license is required.

We welcome applicants from a variety of educational and early career-vocational contexts. Experience may come from academic, professional, community, church, volunteer, creative, or paid settings. BioLogos welcomes transferable skills and nontraditional experience.
