Join us as a Nursing Supervisor

Part Time - 24 Hours

The House Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) has administrative responsibilities for managing staff, overseeing patient care, and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures during designated shifts in collaboration with hospital leadership and the administrator on-call (AOC). The House Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) is a liaison between staff, patients, and the patient's families, as well as between staff and physicians.

As a House Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN):

  • Supervise daily shift operations, including overseeing staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring adherence to schedule, policies, and procedures.
  • Work with Nurse Managers to assist with staff coaching, recognition and performance evaluations.
  • Responsible for the hospital administrative and clinical operations.
  • Contributes to professional development of peers by acting as a resource for a preceptor to newer staff or for less experienced staff.
  • Collaborate with Nurse Directors to assist with staff coaching, recognition and performance evaluations.
  • Oversees clinical process, staff professional practice to ensure quality patient care delivery, patient outcomes and satisfaction, regulatory readiness, and performance improvement.
  • Responds to issues and develops a plan to resolve or rectify patient, family, and staff concerns.
  • Determines the appropriate unit placement of newly admitted patients.
  • Serve as a point of contact for day shift, addressing concerns, providing, guidance, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Initiates appropriate response to ensure the safety of patients and units.

The House Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) will have the following:

  • Valid Registered Nurse RN license in Massachusetts is required.
  • A graduate of an accredited school of nursing BSN preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of behavioral health and substance abuse treatment modalities.
  • Must understand the Trauma-Informed Recovery model of care.
  • Previous experience in psychiatric or substance inpatient, restraint reduction de-escalation, and crisis intervention is preferred.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Time management, problem solving, crisis management, and team building skills.
  • Must have flexibility, creativity, and ability to manage stress.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, sufficient typing, and computer skills to facilitate use of the Electronic Health Record required.

Pay Range

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience.

$47.75 - $60.56
