Job description

Seeking qualified Registered Nurses to make a positive impact serving elderly and vulnerable adults in a flexible position that provides work-life balance.

Senior Helpers of Prince George's County is currently searching for Part-Time Registered Nurses to perform homecare visits throughout the county.  Position includes a flexible schedule and great benefits.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform initial nursing assessments and ongoing cognition screens at start of care and develop an individualized care plan for each new client including recommendations for care hours.
    • Perform follow up visits as per state licensing requirements and at client status changes.
    • Accurately monitor and record data regarding patients' conditions; document all provided care services.
    • Collaborate with community care partners to support the provision of quality care to each client.
    • Supervise, support and training of CNAs to ensure that they are fully equipped to provide the highest quality care to our clients.

    You must possess the following qualifications and experience:

    • Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in Maryland.
    • Must possess sound knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and standards of practice as determined by state and federal regulations.
    • At least 1 year of experience as a RN.
    • Experience working with seniors in home care preferred.
    • Experience in care coordination between, physician, clients, referral sources
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Great problem-solving skills.
    • Basic IT Skills.
