Job description

Position: Part Time RN
Department: Tower 2
Shift: 24 hrs/week, 07:00pm-7:30am, (0.6 FTE)
PURPOSE
The RN is responsible for coordinating and directing the delivery of competent patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. In caring for a patient population which may include the newborn, toddler, adolescent, adult, and the elderly, the RN identifies the special needs of the patient's age group and respective level of growth and development, and plans the care accordingly. The RN directs the implementation of the Plan of Care through performance and/or coordination of the activities of other members of the health care team. NCP/SOC, Clinical Pathways, Departmental Policies and Procedures are used as the basis to prescribe nursing intervention. The RN is responsible for the evaluation of nursing care given to all patients. The RN revises the plan of care according to the needs of the patient and appropriately implements changes as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing, and must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Must have current certification in BLS, ACLS, and EKG interpretation.
  • Can demonstrate knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application by current work experience in health care or recent graduate from a professional school of nursing (within last 12 months).
