Job description

The NEEDS Center is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for our residential group homes on Cape Cod.
Offering a $1,000 sign on bonus ($500 upon hire and $500 after 6 months of employment)
In this role, you will deliver and coordinate the provision of residential health care supports for all individuals served through training, monitoring, documenting of required medical services, interfacing with various health care providers and coordinating follow-up, as well as providing essential care. You will complete assessments, progress notes, trainings and documentation to ensure compliance with residential home regulations.
This is a part-time position. 20 hours per week.
Hourly Pay: $46.00-$50.00
Hours are Mon-Fri 12pm-4pm or 1pm-5pm
Essential Duties:
  • MAP trainer or willing to become one
  • Familiar with residential MAP systems
  • Coordinate care with specialists
  • Ensure follow up care is completed after medical appointments
  • Provide nursing assessments as needed.
  • Audit and identify areas of weakness/ trends in the residence and provide feedback and training
  • Provide routine medical and medication trainings within the homes
  • Provide on call telephone triage as needed
  • Prepare residences for state audits such as CARF and QUEST
  • Assist in the opening of new residential homes within the agency
  • Coordinate new admissions to the homes
  • Communicate with families, guardians and DDS.
  • Track annual physical, dental and vaccine information for all individuals.
  • Assist with nutrition and menu planning in the home in conjunction with nutritionist

Requirements:
  • Massachusetts Nursing License in good standing.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Experience in working with adults with developmental disabilities in a behavioral setting preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and Safety Care certification or ability to obtain the certifications.
  • Computer skills a must.
  • Excellent communication skills.
