Description
Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Dermatology team. This position provides clinical support to our dermatology providers while delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with patients, is organized, and can efficiently assist with both medical and minor surgical dermatology procedures. This position requires travel between our Fort Myers and Cape Coral office locations based on clinic needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Welcome and prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, medication lists, allergies, and chief complaints.
  • Assist providers during dermatology examinations and in-office procedures, including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, wound care, and other minor surgical procedures.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sterile instruments and equipment.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider and within scope of practice.
  • Perform dressing changes, suture removal, and provide patient education regarding wound care and treatment plans.
  • Document patient encounters accurately within the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing.
  • Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain clinic inventory and ensure examination rooms remain fully stocked.
  • Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent nationally recognized certification.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of clinical Medical Assistant experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Experience using electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Reliable transportation with the ability to travel between the Fort Myers and Cape Coral offices.
  • This is an onsite position and is not eligible for remote work.
Preferred
  • Previous Dermatology experience.
  • Experience assisting with dermatologic surgical procedures.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of dermatologic conditions, medications, and treatments.

  • Flexible schedule based on clinic needs.
  • Days and hours will be discussed during the interview process.
  • Occasional flexibility may be required to support provider schedules and patient volume.
