Job Overview

Gallaher Signature Living is seeking a part-time Medication Technician to join our Laurel Heights team.  In alignment with GSL’s mission and values, Medication Technicians are responsible for supporting resident health and wellness by administering medications safely, accurately, and in accordance with state regulations and community standards while delivering service with dignity, warmth, and professionalism . All responsibilities must be completed in accordance with Company policies and procedures, current standards, guidelines, and regulations.

This position has an hourly range of $20.00- $23.75 per hour, depending on experience. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments to residents in compliance with state regulations, physician orders, and community policies

  • Observe, document, and report changes in residents’ conditions to the licensed nursing staff

  • Maintain accurate medication administration records (MARs)

  • Assist with medication inventory, storage, and ordering per protocol

  • Provide respectful, resident-centered care that supports independence and quality of life

  • Respond promptly to resident needs, requests, and concerns

  • Support wellness initiatives and collaborate with caregivers, nurses, and leadership

  • Ensure infection control, safety, and privacy standards are upheld at all times

  • Maintain a calm, reassuring presence while delivering care in a luxury environment

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Med Tech, CNA, or caregiver in senior living, assisted living, or healthcare preferred

  • Knowledge of medication administration practices and safety protocols

  • Warm, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends or evenings
  • Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of assisted living and dementia care.
  • Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals.
  • Able to operate office equipment including copier, telephone, postage machine, time clock, medical alert system.
  • Able to adapt and respond to changes, make decisions, and prioritize tasks and projects.
  • Able to read, write and speak the English language to interact and communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, physicians, health care professionals, residents, and their families.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Able to obtain and maintain valid First Aid, CPR, and Food Handler’s certification, as needed.
  • Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, test within 72 hours of start date.
