Part-Time Retail Team Leader - Closer - New Berlin Location
This is a part-time position working 15-25 hours per week.
THIS IS A NIGHTS AND WEEKEND POSITION:
Our store closes at 9pm during the week, 7pm on Saturday and 6pm on Sundays.
Full Job Description:
Burghardt Sporting Goods is a local family-owned and operated Sporting Goods retailer as well as a team dealer catering to the serious athlete and their teams. Our team passionately delivers excellence in sporting goods and services to athletes and organizations, so they can be their best and focus on the things they love to do.
We are a small, continually evolving business, and it is of utmost importance that every member of our team has the passion to take initiative on many levels and continue to push our company in a positive, profitable direction.
This position is responsible for helping to merchandise retail departments, cashiering, and most importantly ensuring the satisfaction of all Burghardt Sporting Good retail customers.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Give all customers the highest level of customer service.
  • Greet each customer as they are encountered, ensuring that all of their needs and wants are met.
  • Work in rotating zone coverage with other staff members.
  • Process customer sales transactions and returns in accordance with established company procedures.
  • Promote company programs and marketing within the store.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of what products we currently offer as well as suggest items based on customer feedback.
  • Ability to work with management to price, stock, and transfer retail items.
  • Help in our HitTrax performance center.
  • Maintains merchandise presentation standards and signage throughout the store and works with management as directed.
  • Close the store and lead other part-time staff members.
  • Work with store managers on daily projects and tasks.
  • Lead part-time staff when managers arenโ€™t on site.

Requirements:
  • Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • 1-5 years of retail experience.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced, exciting environment.
  • Strong customer service and leadership skills.
  • Previous experience in a leadership position is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer programs.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Qualifications:
  • 1-5 years of retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 35lbs.
  • Ability to work 4+ hours at a time while standing or walking.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time.
