Summary of Responsibilities:

The bartender/server is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests. The server’s attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of the hotel.

Primary Responsibilities and Objectives:

·         Greet guests upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements

·         Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently

·         Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner

·         Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly and courteously to requests and concerns

·         Clear tables and clean banquet areas during and after events

·         Assist with event breakdown and clean-up

·         Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines

·         Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow

·         Provide excellent guest relations by maintaining positive and friendly communication

·         Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

·         High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

·         At least one year of customer service and restaurant experience is required

·         Previous experience in bartending, hospitality, or catering is preferred

Skills and Requirements:

·         Customer service mindset

·         Knowledge of food preparation techniques and beverage service standards

·         Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

·         Excellent communication and organizational skills

·         Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

·         Ability to work well within a team as well as independently

·         Be a team player

·         Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within the first 30 days of employment

Scheduling:

·         Required to maintain a regular schedule which may require working outside of business hours, weekends, and non-traditional holidays

·         May be required to be on-call and aid during times of high demand
