Position Title: Server
Overview: The Server courteously and professionally serves food and beverages to all residents and their guests as well as cleans, sets, and breaks down tables and special functions.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
  • Set tables and maintain workstations in proper order
  • Communicate with residents, to take food and beverage orders, and provide service and requested items both promptly and courteously
  • Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service
  • Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and their guests
  • Maintain knowledge of menu in order to answer questions pertaining to food and beverage menu selections
  • Perform pre-opening and closing checklist duties as assigned
  • Maintain neat, safe and sanitary conditions in working areas.
  • Assist with receiving and greeting residents and guests, as well as seating residents whenever possible
  • Assist other associates in preparation of special meals for parties, banquets, and meetings
  • Maintains confidentiality of resident/family and facility information
  • Coordinates work activities with co-workers to ensure a smooth run department
  • Attend and completes in-service and education sessions, as assigned
  • Adhere to the department standards for personal hygiene and uniform guidelines by maintaining clean and professional appearance at all times
  • Adhere to proper food handling and preparation standards in accordance with applicable local, state and federal regulations.
  • Adhere to all community and departmental policies and procedures as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws, rules and regulations.
  • Practice and adhere to all safety, emergency, and loss prevention procedures as outlined in the Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (CEMP). This includes responding to all fire alarms and assisting in the evacuation of residents when needed
  • Act as a backup server in other dining rooms as needed

You Have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. May be working towards high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant or club with fine dining preferred.
