ABOUT CITY SIGNAL

This is a short-term, paid contract project. The selected tester will explore key parts of the product, identify bugs and usability issues, document findings clearly, and provide practical recommendations before a broader public launch.

This opportunity may be a good fit for someone with experience in software testing, quality assurance, product testing, user acceptance testing, or web development. Strong candidates who perform well may be considered for additional contract work as City Signal expands.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Test City Signal on mobile phones, tablets, and desktop browsers
• Review the website across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge
• Test navigation, filters, links, forms, location features, and responsive layouts
• Evaluate the Atlanta Tracker and other key user flows
• Identify broken features, inconsistent behavior, confusing instructions, and visual issues
• Check whether city alerts and explanations are clear and easy to understand
• Reproduce bugs and document the steps that caused them
• Provide screenshots or screen recordings when helpful
• Categorize findings by severity and user impact
• Recommend improvements to the overall user experience
• Retest corrected issues when requested

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience testing websites, mobile applications, or digital products
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate technical and usability issues clearly
• Access to a smartphone and computer
• Familiarity with Atlanta or regular travel within Metro Atlanta is strongly preferred
• Experience with QA documentation, browser developer tools, automated testing, or accessibility testing is a plus
• No specific degree is required

PROJECT DELIVERABLES

The selected contractor will provide:

• A structured list of bugs and usability issues
• Steps for reproducing each technical issue
• Screenshots or recordings of major problems
• Device and browser information for each finding
• Severity classifications for reported issues
• A short summary of the most important improvements recommended before launch
