Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to create individualized therapy strategies tailored to each client's unique needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to clients in individual, family, and group settings, using various methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to client care, sharing insights and participating in case discussions to achieve comprehensive treatment plans.
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, reflecting clients' progress and care strategies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending workshops, training, and other educational opportunities to stay updated on advancements in mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will provide care for a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families facing various mental health challenges. Common issues may include anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, relationship difficulties, and more. You will be instrumental in delivering tailored therapy that respects each client's background and personal journey.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
• Possess a valid and unrestricted state license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• Minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques.
• Proficiency in legal and ethical standards related to mental health practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with a diverse clientele effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized training or experience in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, and/or substance use disorders is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and technology, ensuring effective delivery of remote therapy services.

Compensation and Benefits

Unity Point Behavioral Health Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 110,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience, along with performance-based bonuses.
