Operations Research Analyst, Senior
The Opportunity:
As an Operations Analyst, you're passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need an experienced Research Analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. As a leader on our multi-disciplinary team of analysts and data scientists, you'll lead teams to evaluate data assessment strategies and apply techniques, such as optimization, simulation, machine learning, statistical analysis, and multi-objective decision analysis to deliver solutions and inform senior Department of Defense (DoD) leadership decisions.
You won't go at it alone, you'll work with the team to conduct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret programmatic and cost data. Once documented, you'll develop program briefs, documentation, and presentations to present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and participate in various program meetings to improve program efficiency and inform senior DoD leadership decisions.
In this role, you'll use your passion for analytics and statistics to devise modeling and measuring techniques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics techniques and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines.
Use your operations research knowledge to develop technologies and concepts that help transform and advance DoD's missions.

You Have:
  • 7+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, and data mining
  • 7+ years of experience with analytical methodologies, including statistics, data modeling, forecasting, and optimization
  • 5+ years of experience developing solutions for advanced analytics or wargaming
  • Experience translating technical findings into reports for leadership and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze, report, and develop recommendations on data related to operational metrics
  • Ability to collaborate with decision-makers about issues and solutions
  • Ability to display intermediate to advanced proficiency in Python or R
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a Quantitative field

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience using ADVANA applications such as the External Data Loader (EDL), Databricks, Qlik, or Data Robot
  • Experience building dashboards in Power BI
  • Experience working within the DoD
  • Experience in experimentation or wargaming
  • Knowledge of analytical languages and software such as SQL or SAS
  • Possession of strong writing, research, and presentation skills
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related Quantitative field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
