What is a part time remote psychologist?

A part time remote psychologist is a licensed mental health professional who provides psychological services, such as therapy and counseling, to clients through virtual platforms rather than in person. These professionals typically work fewer hours than full-time psychologists and conduct sessions using video calls, phone calls, or online messaging. This flexible arrangement allows psychologists to reach a broader range of clients and maintain a better work-life balance. Part time remote psychologists may work independently, for telehealth companies, or as part of larger healthcare organizations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time remote psychologist?

To thrive as a Part Time Remote Psychologist, you need a graduate degree in psychology, state licensure, and a strong grounding in psychological assessment and therapeutic techniques. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, secure video conferencing software, and electronic health records is typically required. Excellent listening, empathy, and communication skills, along with strong time management, help you build rapport and support clients effectively in a virtual environment. These competencies are crucial for delivering high-quality mental health care remotely while maintaining professional standards and client trust.

How do part time remote psychologists typically manage client confidentiality and data security when working from home?

Part-time remote psychologists must adhere to strict confidentiality and data security standards, just as they would in a traditional clinical setting. This involves using secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms for video sessions, storing records on encrypted devices, and maintaining a private workspace to prevent unauthorized access or overhearing. Many employers provide guidelines and training on best practices, but independent practitioners should also stay updated on relevant legal and ethical requirements. Establishing clear protocols helps ensure client trust and professional compliance.

Job description

Location: Remote, Georgia
Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM Eastern Time
Compensation: $18.00 per hour
Reports to: Regional Clinical Director

About Fiesta Health

Fiesta Health provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy for children and families affected by autism. Our mission is to make high-quality, compassionate ABA services easy to find and easy to access, so families receive support as early as possible.

We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Business Development Representative to help connect Fiesta Health with the providers, schools, and community organizations that families turn to first.

The Role

This is a part-time, remote growth role built on consistent, professional outreach. You will build relationships with pediatricians, pediatric specialists, psychologists, diagnosticians, schools, therapy providers, and community partners throughout Georgia.

The ideal candidate is comfortable making high-volume outbound calls, following up consistently, handling rejection professionally, and keeping organized records in a CRM. You will represent Fiesta Health with warmth, professionalism, and credibility while helping families move forward in accessing ABA services.

Training, approved messaging, and ongoing coaching are provided.

What You Will Do
  • Complete approximately 50–60 outbound call attempts each scheduled workday to prospective and existing referral sources.

  • Build and maintain relationships with pediatric offices, diagnostic centers, schools, therapists, early-intervention programs, and community organizations.

  • Introduce Fiesta Health’s ABA services, referral process, and intake process using approved messaging.

  • Schedule introductory meetings, provider visits, virtual meetings, Lunch & Learns, and referral-partner education opportunities.

  • Follow up on referrals, inquiries, event contacts, and outreach opportunities in a timely and professional manner.

  • Prepare and send ABA referral documentation as appropriate, and send completed referral documentation and Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations (CDEs) back to pediatrician offices when needed.

  • Proactively follow up with pediatrician offices and diagnostic centers to obtain diagnostic reports and required documentation so families can proceed with services.

  • Identify consent, release, and records-request requirements; coordinate with internal teams when parent signatures or additional documentation are needed.

  • Maintain complete, accurate, same-day CRM records for calls, emails, meetings, referrals, consent steps, follow-up dates, next actions, and report receipt status.

  • Maintain a forward-looking CRM activity plan with scheduled calls, follow-ups, and outreach tasks for upcoming workdays.

  • Represent Fiesta Health at local networking events, provider meetings, Lunch & Learns, conferences, and community outreach activities throughout Georgia.

  • Communicate barriers early and work closely with the Regional Clinical Director, intake, marketing, and clinical teams.

What You Bring
  • Residence in Georgia and the ability to travel locally within the state as needed.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a warm, professional phone presence.

  • Comfort with high-volume outbound calling, relationship building, gatekeepers, and rejection.

  • Strong organization, follow-through, and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • Experience using CRM systems and standard business tools, including email, spreadsheets, and virtual meeting platforms.

  • Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.

  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately and follow HIPAA and company policies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in business development, inside sales, healthcare outreach, provider relations, recruiting, account management, or community engagement.

  • Experience working with healthcare providers, schools, therapy providers, or community organizations.

  • Background in ABA therapy, autism services, behavioral health, pediatric services, healthcare referrals, or intake processes.

  • Experience with medical-records requests, referral documentation, consent forms, or diagnostic-report follow-up.

  • Experience planning or delivering Lunch & Learns, in-services, or community presentations.

Schedule and Travel

This is a part-time remote position with a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM Eastern Time. The position is based in Georgia and requires occasional local travel for referral-partner meetings, Lunch & Learns, networking events, conferences, and community outreach.
