Fall Internship Opportunity: Communications Intern (Part-Time)

Remote | 20 hours/week | Fall 2026 | $25/hour

Inseparable is committed to life-changing progress in mental health and substance use care for all Americans. Our resolve to reshape the public policies that govern mental health care takes us deep into states and communities where we see strong potential for change. This same resolve drives our advocacy for federal policies, funding and leadership.

We are seeking a Communications Intern for Fall 2026 to support our strategic communications, content creation and advocacy initiatives. Reporting directly to the Content Manager, this internship offers a hands-on opportunity for a college student eager to gain real-world experience at the intersection of mental health and public policy.

  • Optimize videos for search, including writing keywords, descriptions, and titles
  • Organize content into playlists and create video cover images/thumbnails

Social Media & Content

  • Research topics and source information to support social media posts and captions
  • Collaborate with interns across departments on original social content, including intern-led series like "Take 5 โ€” Intern Edition"

Website & Operations

  • Update the "In the News" section of Inseparable's website with current media coverage
  • Maintain and organize the shared drive, including renaming files according to established naming conventions

  • Assist with graphic design and writing tasks across the communications team as needed

Qualifications

  • Strong writing and communication skills, with an eye for social media voice and tone
  • Solid design sensibility with hands-on experience in Canva
  • Meticulous attention to detail; consistently reviews work before submission
  • Genuine interest in mental health advocacy and digital communications

The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by the person holding this position. It is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities. Inseparable reserves the right to amend and change responsibilities to meet organizational needs as necessary.

This is a remote, part-time internship at 20 hours per week, with compensation of $25/hour. We strongly encourage applications from individuals who are passionate about advancing mental health equity and eager to gain hands-on experience in policy and advocacy.
