Job description

This is a part-time, benefited position working 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. two to three nights per week on Sunday, Monday, and/or Tuesday, and it does require flexibility with scheduling. This is a fully remote position based in San Diego, with the expectation that you are able to report onsite within 30 minutes in the event of a system downtime. The position also requires approximately six weeks of onsite training, primarily during daytime hours, in La Jolla. In addition, this role offers a night shift differential and a remote work stipend.

Job Duties:

  • Provides administrative and operational support to ensure smooth daily department operations
  • Serves as a key communication liaison between radiologists, clinical staff, technical teams, and external providers
  • Applies knowledge of departmental procedures, radiology workflows, and unit operations
  • Supports time-sensitive clinical communication for urgent cases, including Stroke, Trauma, and Interventional Radiology on-call
  • Monitors and assists with radiology workflow systems to maintain continuity of imaging operations
  • Manages actionable findings processes, case assignments, and documentation requests
  • Communicates system downtimes and workflow updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Trains new staff on workflows, procedures, and department operations
  • Performs additional duties as needed to support efficient radiology services and patient care
  • Coordinates radiologist schedules, departmental meetings, and conferences as needed

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: 

  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office
  • Adaptable and able to handle large volumes of work

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Epic experience
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology
  • Flexibility with scheduling
