What is a part time remote infusion nurse?

A part time remote infusion nurse is a registered nurse who administers intravenous medications or therapies to patients, typically outside of a hospital setting, such as in patients' homes or specialized clinics. The 'remote' aspect means that some responsibilities, like patient education, care coordination, documentation, and follow-up, can be performed virtually, using telehealth tools. This role offers flexibility in scheduling and location, making it ideal for nurses seeking work-life balance. Duties may include monitoring patient responses, ensuring safe medication administration, and providing support before, during, and after infusions.

Part-time remote infusion nurses often encounter challenges such as coordinating patient care across different locations, managing their schedules effectively, and ensuring clear communication with both patients and the broader healthcare team.
