Description
The Donor Ambassador will be responsible for the execution of a strategy built and led by an Account Manager. This engagement strategy will complement, enhance, and help grow philanthropy on behalf of nationally recognized non-profit organizations. Through the delivery of a thoughtful combination of communications and interactions, this individual will ensure that donors are appropriately acknowledged, continuously cultivated for their support, and develop long-term relationships with our nonprofit clients that lead to continued engagement and support for great causes.
The Donor Ambassador plays a crucial role in deepening a donor's connection to our partner organization. Reporting to the Donor Advancement Manager, but under the strategic direction of an Account Manager, a donor ambassador manages a portfolio of mid-level donors. The Ambassador functions as a seamless extension of the non-profit organization. Their primary focus lies in nurturing relationships and enhancing the donor experience by capturing in depth insights into giving interests, motivations, preferences, and personal details. The client organization you will support will address systemic equality and civil rights. This is a part-time role, averaging 20-29 hours per week.

Your Impact:
  • Using a multi-channel approach (email, phone, text, mail) communicate and engage with a portfolio of approximately 1,500 Mid-level donors.
  • Identify the needs of high-value donors and execute engagement strategies that will retain their support.
  • Rectify or escalate donor requests and questions to management or the client team as appropriate.
  • Fulfill outreach expectations by responding to all donor communications within the expected timeframe, and complete weekly stewardship and cultivation assignments by established due dates.
  • Converse knowledgeably with generous donors from a broad range of backgrounds; leverage understanding of donor data and moves management to build relationships with a portfolio of donors.
  • Track engagement, progress, donor preferences, etc. by accurately documenting and recording data and tasks, while utilizing proprietary donor tracking software.
  • Participate in client calls and quarterly job training.
  • Conduct internet research on selected donors on an as-needed basis.
  • Complete quality control checks and extract data from outreach tools to be used in reporting by the manager.
  • Complete other tasks as needed relating to donor relationship management.

Your Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Committed to providing professional, high-quality customer service to the donor community and non-profit partners
  • Knowledge of the fundraising cycle and the non-profit industry.
  • Experience working within Microsoft Office Suite- specifically Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with donor CRM tools such as Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, etc. preferred.
  • Experience within the fundraising, sales or customer services environment or equivalent volunteer experience desired.
  • Non-profit experience preferred.
