Job description

Overview Consultex Practice Management (CPM) is a leading revenue cycle management firm specializing in behavioral health and substance use disorder (SUD) facilities across the country. We provide full-spectrum billing, credentialing, and consulting services tailored to the unique needs of behavioral health providers. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Credentialing Manager to join our team on a part-time, contract basis.

This is a remote position with flexible hours and the potential to transition into a full-time role. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with provider and facility credentialing across commercial and Medicaid payers in multiple states, particularly in the behavioral health and SUD space. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage credentialing and recredentialing processes for providers and facilities nationwide Complete and maintain payer applications, CAQH, NPPES, PECOS, and related systems Manage payer enrollments for ERA, EFT, and EDI connections Track application statuses and follow up with payers to ensure timely approvals Liaise with clients and internal teams to gather documentation and ensure smooth onboarding Maintain credentialing database and ensure timely alerts for expirables and renewals Provide strategic input on payer engagement and enrollment optimization Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare credentialing Strong knowledge of credentialing processes for both individual providers and facilities, especially in the behavioral health and SUD sectors Familiarity with payer requirements and processes across multiple states Experience working with Medicaid and commercial insurance plans Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset Comfortable working independently in a remote environment Experience with credentialing software or systems preferred Why Join CPM?
