A part time remote data entry job involves entering, updating, and managing data for a company or organization from a remote location, such as your home. These roles typically require you to input information into databases, spreadsheets, or other digital systems. The position is part time, meaning you work fewer hours than a full-time employee, often with flexible scheduling. Remote data entry jobs are popular for those seeking flexibility and the ability to work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.

Job description

About the role

WISEcode is building the world's most comprehensive food data platform, co-developed with nutrition scientists to reveal what's really in our food. We're hiring a very select team of high caliber food and ingredient analysts to help build the foundation that everything else is built on: clear, accurate ingredient data. This is precise, meaningful work — with clear and accurate food information, and a real opportunity to impact the health of everyday Americans.

Job type: Contract, part-time

Pay: $30/hour

Schedule: Guaranteed weekly hours 10 hrs/week for 4 weeks; immediate short-term ramp

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Start: August 20, 2026. (Training on or before Aug 17; executing on or before Aug 20)

What you'll do

  • Work directly with food and ingredient data, identifying what makes each ingredient unique and how ingredients relate to one another.

  • Use AI tools to bring clarity to each ingredient — its identity, functional capacities, synonyms, and scientifically backed descriptive detail.

  • Keep the data accurate and consistent; catch and correct errors.

  • Work in a team environment picking up review requests from a queue and resolve those requests or escalate for next steps.

What we're looking for

  • A formal background in nutrition or food science (AA, bachelor's, advanced degree, or technical training).

  • Strong ingredient and chemical understanding — you know what an ingredient is and how it behaves.

  • A detail-first, highly accurate approach; comfort reading Nutrition Facts panels and ingredient lists.

  • Confidence with numbers and data entry; a talent for spotting mistakes.

  • Excellent time management; you set and meet deadlines.

  • High quality communicators that can work in a high paced, team oriented environment.

How we hire

We expect many applications and are selecting only ten analysts. The application includes a short hands-on skills exercise so we can see your accuracy in action.

We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. These tools assist our recruitment team but do not replace human judgment. Final hiring decisions are ultimately made by humans.
