Relief Clinical SupervisorMaine Crisis Line (MCL)

Location: Remote (in Maine)

Schedule: Per diem, flexible shifts

Are you a licensed clinician looking for flexibility and purpose? Join the Maine Crisis Line (MCL) team and make an impact when it matters most. MCL is part of Maine's continuum of crisis intervention and stabilization services, providing 24/7 telephone, text, and chat support for individuals and families experiencing mental health crises. Our trained crisis support specialists offer free, confidential assistance to help callers navigate difficult moments and connect to appropriate resources.

We are seeking a Relief Clinical Supervisor to join our team on an as-needed basis. This role provides real-time clinical leadership and support to crisis support specialists during active contacts, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care for those in crisis.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the clinical lead during assigned shifts, offering immediate guidance and support to staff handling crisis calls and chats.
  • Assist with risk assessment, triage, and intervention planning to ensure safe, effective outcomes.
  • Monitor ongoing contacts and provide timely clinical input.
  • Support operational needs, including staffing adjustments and quality assurance reviews.
  • Communicate emergent issues to program leadership as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Clinical license in Maine (LCSW or LCPC preferred; conditional license accepted).
  • Ability to obtain MHRT-CSP certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights.
  • Strong clinical judgment and knowledge of DSM-5.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and technical skills.
  • Crisis work and supervisory experience preferred.
