Job description

Montage Marketing Group is seeking an experienced marketing, public relations, or communications professional to develop and execute social media strategies for our award-winning agency. This opportunity will allow you to leverage your creativity, innovation, and conceptual thinking to deliver high-impact social media campaigns for both external clients and internal agency initiatives.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position working a remote schedule from your home office. Occasional travel to the Rockville, Maryland office or client site may be required. The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $25-$30. Hours and scheduling are flexible, and remote options are available for those residing in: Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C., Delaware, New York, West Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Florida, and Arizona.

Position Overview:

Campaign Design and Strategy:

  • Design, develop, and execute a variety of external client-facing campaigns, along with internal agency marketing and outreach initiatives.
  • Research, compile, and synthesize complex information and/or technical health concepts into compelling social media campaigns and outreach.
  • Lead audience segmentation and targeting approaches, applying a strong understanding of content nuances and end user personas.
  • Work alongside project teams to create campaign timelines, calendars, and schedules.

Content Creation:

  • Demonstrate knowledge across a variety of social media platforms to deliver impactful and engaging content focused on project or client outcomes.
  • Partner with graphic designers and copywriters to ideate, develop, refine, and perfect content messaging and visuals.
  • Co-create impactful storytelling concepts and ideas through the lens of intended target audiences.
  • Apply prescribed client branding standards and accessibility requirements across all content collateral.
  • Explore and recommend innovative and captivating mediums, selecting and deploying the methods that generate the highest impact.
  • Coordinate with data analysts to track key engagement metrics. Oversee the development of data-driven campaign adaptations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional experience developing and executing social media campaigns.
  • Expertise across social media platforms, including X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok.
  • Strong working knowledge of social media principles, including content creation, audience engagement, hashtags, trends, and platform-specific content.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated creativity and interest in developing video or digital content for social media platforms.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Professional judgement when representing an organization publicly on social media.
  • Background in public health communications, graphic design, or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or similar field.
  • Located within a commutable distance to offices in Rockville, MD.
  • Experience supporting federal, state, or local government clients.
  • Background in technology, environment, or transportation industries.
