Job description

Title: Executive Assistant

Reports to: President

Status: Part-Time (up to 30 hours/week), Remote

The Executive Assistant is a trusted right hand to the President of NextAfter — keeping the calendar, priorities, and day-to-day operations running smoothly so the President can focus on leading the organization. You'll work closely with the President, the Executive Leadership Team, and the Client Services direct reports across scheduling, communications, and project coordination.

We're looking for someone with a "figure it out" mentality — someone who solves problems without needing a script, and who's genuinely curious about learning the President's work style, the business, and the role itself. You anticipate needs before you're asked, handle confidential information with real discretion, and build trust easily with a wide range of people. You're reliable and detail-oriented, but never rigid.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Calendar and Communications

  • Own the President's calendar — resolving conflicts and protecting that time proactively.

  • Manage the inbox: flag what matters, draft responses on the President's behalf.

  • Screen calls, emails, and meeting requests so only the right things get through.

  • Anticipate what's needed before having to be asked.

  • Handle professional written communication and document management, internal and external.

Meetings and Projects

  • Prep for and support recurring meetings — L10s, Board meetings, ELT Quarterly, Company Updates.

  • Sit in on 2–4 meetings a week, tracking action items and following up until they're closed.

  • Own project and operational tasks start to finish, moving comfortably across tools.

Operations and Travel

  • Manage travel logistics — booking and itineraries.

  • Support expense tracking and invoice/payment follow-up.

  • Take on assigned projects with minimal hand-holding, figuring out gaps as you go.

  • Be the connective tissue between the President, the ELT, and Client Services leadership.

Relationships

  • Build real trust and rapport with the President, ELT, and direct reports.

  • Handle sensitive information with sound judgment.

  • Represent the President's office well, internally and externally.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2–3 years supporting a senior leader or executive.

  • Comfortable picking up new tools and platforms.

  • Strong calendar management chops.

  • Experience coordinating projects and operations.

  • Sharp written communication and document skills.

  • Natural relationship-builder across different personalities.

  • Reliable, on top of it, detail-oriented — and trustworthy under pressure.

Part-time, remote.

$25-35/hour.
