What are the responsibilities of a part-time referee?

A part-time referee is responsible for enforcing the rules and maintaining fair play during sports games or matches. Their duties include starting and stopping play, making judgment calls on rule infractions, and ensuring the safety of all participants. Part-time referees often work flexible hours, usually evenings or weekends, and may officiate at various levels from youth leagues to amateur adult competitions.
