Receptionist

Job Summary:

AdviniaCare Oakland Grove is seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist to join our team! As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for residents, families, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our facility. If you have a passion for working with seniors and a strong background in customer service, we encourage you to apply for this part time, 16 hours/week opportunity. Day and evening hours available.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate telephone while utilizing proper phone etiquette
• Receive and direct all persons entering the facility to appropriate areas
• Responsible for general typing and secretarial functions
• Distribute paychecks per policy and procedure
• Receive and direct incoming mail and deliveries appropriately
• Demonstrate correct safety techniques
• Respect and take care of facility equipment and not wasteful of supplies
• Contribute to and promote resident and family relations
• Knowledgeable in facility’s Privacy Practice and complies by protecting all residents’ health information
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Specific Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public
• Must be knowledgeable of administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines
• Must possess a cheerful personality and be able to work harmoniously with other personnel
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
• Has knowledge of personnel application procedures
• Must be able to type 50 words per minute
• Is knowledgeable of all office equipment
