Overview

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty (PenFed Realty), a wholly owned subsidiary of PenFed Credit Union (PenFed), is hiring a (Remote) Part-Time Real Estate Referral Counselor. The primary purpose of this job is to serve as the critical link between real estate customers, various mortgage partners, and elite real estate agents. This role’s mission is to manage a diverse pipeline of real estate leads from various sources, as well as handling a high volume of inbound and outbound calls. The incumbent will transform inquiries into successful real estate placements through active listening, product knowledge, and empathy.


Responsibilities

  • Act as the BHHS PenFed Realty point of contact for:

    • Customers/members moving through referral channels,

    • Partners who refer customers through our Business Development Department, and

    • All members requesting PenFed Real Estate Rewards Mortgage information and real estate assistance.

  • Conduct a thorough needs assessment at the onset of the moving process, delivering a premium, consultative experience that helps customers navigate the home buying/selling/renting process.

  • Track, monitor, and follow up with potential leads with an extremely high rate of accuracy

    • Answer all questions and provide all requested documentation.

    • Ensure that designated partner databases are updated timely.

    • Proactively follow up on inquiries and tasks to ensure no customer falls through the cracks.

  • Follow phone and email scripts when communicating with customers/members.

  • Enter referrals in company’s system of record to ensure proper management.

  • Maintain multiple phone lines during shift, answering a consistent, high-volume flow of inbound and outbound calls; maintain and document phone conversations.

  • Serve as an advocate for the customer, solving complex logistics and coordinating “One Team” synergy between lenders and agents.


Qualifications

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in customer services or real estate is preferred.

  • Direct client interaction and advisory experience preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

  • Exceptional oral and written communication.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

  • Must possess positive, “can-do” attitude, as well as maintain ability to multitask between various technical platforms.

  • Experience using A.I. tools preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not supervise employees.

Licenses and Certifications

Relocation certification courses required by Partners.
 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*

Travel

Limited travel to various worksites is required.

Pay Transparency 
The anticipated starting hourly range for this role is $18.00 - $21.00 
This position is eligible for an organizational performance based annual bonus, subject to board discretion and approval.
This position is eligible for an individual performance based annual bonus.
