We are a privately owned, compassionate, and fast-growing veterinary ophthalmology practice working out of the Tampa area, looking for a motivated and dependable Veterinary Technician Assistant to support our medical team. Whether you’re seeking full-time or part-time work, we welcome your application.

Position Overview:

As a Veterinary Technician Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our veterinary technicians and doctors in caring for animals with eye-related medical conditions. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a specialty field and contribute to a calm, professional, and compassionate environment.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in patient handling and restraint during exams and procedures
  • Prepare exam rooms and surgical areas
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and tools
  • Support technicians and veterinarians with diagnostics and treatments
  • Ensure accurate documentation and patient record updates
  • Provide friendly, professional client service and communication

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting preferred.  Previous ophthalmology experience not required.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
