The School of Nursing and Health Studies at the University of Miami is accepting applications for a part-time temporary lecturer to teach undergraduate nutrition courses. Primary responsibilities include instruction in topics such as general nutrition, nutrition for health promotion and disease prevention, and nutrition across the lifespan. Additional duties may include advising students, evaluating performance, developing course materials, and contributing to curriculum development.
The successful candidate will work closely with Dean of School and Associate Dean for Health Studies to deliver high-quality teaching in a student-centered learning environment. Candidates should be prepared to engage students in practical, evidence-based learning and promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
Required Qualifications:
  • A master's degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or a related field
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current nutritional science and dietary guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Teaching experience at the university/college level
  • Experience using learning management systems and instructional technology
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with other faculty members
  • Experience in community nutrition, clinical dietetics, or public health nutrition is a plus
