Job description

TITLE: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

LOCATION: Oak Lawn, IL & Surrounding Region

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Looking for meaningful work while gaining valuable hands-on experience in psychology, education, or child development? Join Instructional ABA Consultants (IABA) as a Behavior Technician and make a real impact in the lives of autistic children.

In this role, you'll work 1:1 with children using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help build communication, social, and daily living skills. No ABA experience is required-we provide all the training you need to get started and grow in the field.

PAY AND TRAINING:

  • $19-$21/hr for client sessions and office work once RBT certified
  • $17 hourly for training, modules, office work, and client sessions (pre-certification)
  • $150 Sign-On Bonus after 3 months

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Work 1:1 with children using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help build communication, social, and daily living skills
  • Implement individualized therapy plans created by a BCBA supervisor
  • Collect data related to the goals and behavior plans
  • Develop play skills with autistic children, silliness is a must!
  • File data and clinical documentation electronically within a 24 hour timeframe
  • Attend mandatory trainings conducted by Instructional ABA Consultants
  • Proactively communicate with Behavior Analyst
  • Pipeline for promotion to Community Support Workers beyond RBT Certification
  • Join your team for outings and team building activities
  • Maintain confidentiality, ethical guidelines, policies including HIPAA laws and regulations

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience working with children (babysitting, tutoring, coaching, volunteering, etc.)
  • Interest in psychology, education, or related fields
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle

SCHEDULE:

  • Part-time and full-time positions available
  • Daytime, evening (3:00–7:30 PM), and weekend shifts
  • Minimum availability requirements: 3 weekday evenings and 1 weekend day
