AEDD Jobs 4 You - Now Hiring Part-Time Van Driver (Ward, AR)Pay: $15.00/hourSchedule: Split shift | 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM & 3:00 PM - 5:30 PMLocation: Ward, ArkansasAEDD is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Van Driver to transport adults with developmental disabilities. We're looking for a responsible and caring individual to join our team!Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned.You are responsible for the safety of the consumers during transportation to and from the facility. Daily sign in sheets are required for each route. They must have the driver's name, date and beginning mileageVehicles must be gassed up prior to or after delivery of consumers.Drivers will drive the speed limit and stop at all railroad crossings, drivers will focus on the road at all times. The radio is not allowed nor is talking on a cell phone while drivingVehicles are to be kept clean at all times. There can be no trash left on the vans. Will follow transportation policies and procedures specific to Adult Clinical Services.Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or GED and/or one year of experience driving a 15 passenger vehicle preferred.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPR/First Aid and Arkansas Driver's License.Safety Sensitive Position: This is a safety sensitive position as it involves operating a motor vehicle as part of the job duties and a lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death to the consumers being transported. See Ark. Const. Amend. 98 2(25). All positions classified as safety must refrain from reporting to work or being subject to duty while their ability to perform job duties is impaired due to the use of alcohol or other drugs. All positions classified as safety sensitive are prohibited from testing positive for metabolites of substances that are listed in the schedules of the Federal Controlled Substances Act and the Arkansas Uniform Controlled Substances Act, regardless of whether the employee possesses a medical marijuana registry identification card. See id. at 3(f)(3)(B)(iii). This policy applies during all work hours, whenever conducting business for AEDD.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and smell. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
